The example offered here is part of the first era of tritium Rolex Submariner 'Date' Ref. 16610, which dates to 1991.
The dial is flawless, preserving its full glossiness and featuring a lovely creamy patina hue. The hands have also aged to a matching patina.
The original bezel insert is also presented in stunning condition, with only some signs of normal wear, and a lovely petrol blue fade. The original pearl has aged to a matching patina.
The previously polished stainless steel case remains in great shape too, showing thick lugs and sharp bevels which follow factory standards. It presents hardly any visible signs of use, with only some very minor marks. The case back is in the same condition.
It is in full working order, keeping great time, as it has been recently serviced, apart from the Rolex service it passed in 2008 as shown on the Rolex Service Papers included in the sale.
The original sapphire crystal remains clean.
It comes suited on the original 20mm Rolex Oyster 93150 stainless steel bracelet with 501B end links, clasp code P11 and divers’ extension that remains in great shape with almost any stretch at all and no mayor signs of wear.
Macros of dial and case are available under request.
