Being part of the first production years of the 16710, this watch offered for sale here is one of the most beautiful examples we have ever seen. It features a flawless and super glossy dial with creamy and matching patina on hands and hour markers.
The bezel remains sharp and unpolished. The original Serif font coke bezel insert has faded to light red and to a deep grape. Furthermore, it comes with an extra, original, ‘Pepsi’ insert.
The 40mm stainless steel case is very sharp, preserving factory finishes, and shows only normal signs of wear.
The case back is unmolested, preserving the original green sticker with the Rolex crown and reference number still partially visible.
The watch is running well and keeping time, although service history is unknown.
It comes suited on the original 20mm Rolex Oyster 78790 stainless-steel bracelet with 501 B end links and clasp code X6. The bracelet has 11 links mounted and 2 extra. It shows little to no stretch and only minor signs of use.
This watch is a very full set, including outer box with reference sticker, inner box and cushion, cleaning cloth, hang tags, manuals, wallet, calendar, translation leaflet, and the original stamped guarantee papers showing it was sold by a Rolex AD in Hong Kong back in 1993.
This is indeed a great opportunity to own a lovely and very versatile 5-digit neo-vintage Rolex in pure condition.
