Here is offered a lovely example of a Ref. 16030 ‘Boiler Gauge’ dial.
The dial is flawless, with a nice creamy tone. All lume plots are complete and matching in patina with the hands. All printings, including the inner track, remain complete.
The white gold fluted bezel is in great shape too.
Cased in a 36mm excluding the original screw-down crown, this all-stainless steel case wears perfectly well. The previously lightly polished case shows normal wear and no mayor dents or scratches. The case back is preserved in the same condition.
It is suited on its original Rolex Jubilee stainless steel bracelet 62510 H with 555 end links and clasp code A that shows little stretch for its age.
The original acrylic crystal presents minor scratches around 11 o’clock that can be easily buffed away.
The watch is running well and keeping time, although service history is unknown.
Furthermore, it comes as a matching super full set from Gobbi 1842, an Italian Rolex AD that is now closed, unfortunately. The set includes outer box with reference sticker and Gobbi stamp, inner box, Gobbi calendar, Gobbi card, manuals, translation leaflet, wallet, stamped guarantee cards and original sales receipt showing it was sold on the 3rd of December 1988 for 960 000 Lira, what would be just below 1000 EUR today.
