1986 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16000 'Roman Numerals'

First released in 1945, it marked forty years of Rolex timepieces. Today, it holds a spot in even the most exclusive collections and remains one of the most popular timepieces among both men and women.

 

Loved for its sporty yet elegant design, the present-day Datejust is available in varied sizes, many case and bezel metals, and with seemingly unlimited dials.

Here is offered a classic design Rolex Datejust, the reference 16000, with a beautiful white dial with applied Roman numerals.

 

With the nicer smooth bezel (makes the watch look bigger and cleaner than the fluted bezel version), the beautiful dial with applied roman numerals, steel tritium hands and perfectly matching yellow lume plots, remains in great condition.

 

Cased in a 36mm excluding the original screw-down crown, this all-stainless steel case wears perfectly well. The previously polished case shows normal wear and no mayor dents or scratches. The case back is preserved in the same condition.

 

It is suited on its original Rolex Oyster stainless steel bracelet 78360 with clasp code L4 that presents normal stretch.

 

The original acrylic crystal presents minor scratches on the magnifying loupe that can be easily buffed away.

 

The Rolex cal. 3038 has been previously serviced and is running well and keeping time.
