1979 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16014 Silver 'Linen' dial with pumpkin patina

First released in 1945, it marked forty years of Rolex timepieces. Today, it holds a spot in even the most exclusive collections and remains one of the most popular timepieces among both men and women.

 

Loved for its sporty yet elegant design, the present-day Datejust is available in varied sizes, many case and bezel metals, and with seemingly unlimited dials.

This example here is an all-stainless-steel ref. 18014 which dates to 1979.

 

The condition of this piece is great, featuring a mint silver ‘Linen’ dial with complete pumpkin patina lume plots.

 

The case is presented in good condition too, showing some wear. The case back also preserves factory finishes and shows minor signs of wear.

 

The white gold fluted bezel remains also in great condition with no mayor dents or scratches.

 

The watch comes on its original 20mm Rolex Jubilee stainless-steel bracelet 62510 H with 555 end links and clasp code C that presents normal stretch for its age.

 

The watch is running great and keeping time, although service history is unknown.
