Here is offered a classic design Rolex Datejust, the reference 16014, which ran between 1977 until 1988 (approx..). in the most beautiful, rare, and impressive ‘Buckley’ dial variation.
The blue dial contrasts simply perfectly with the big, white, painted Roman numerals and white baton hands. The dial shows some wear and a nice dark blue spotted patina specially around the perimeter and on the center, giving the watch so much character. The original white baton hands are the prettiest combination, as these were also seen with less sough-after steel hands. The patina on the lume plots is a vivid mustard, almost pumpkin, matching with that on the hands.
This beautiful dial is cased in a 36mm stainless steel case that presents normal wear for its age but remains thick and sharp. It comes with the original, fluted 18K white gold bezel that’s in good shape too.
The automatic cal. 3035 with quick-set date function is running great and keeping time, although service history is unknown.
It is suited on its original Rolex Jubilee bracelet 62510H with 555 end links and clasp code A with normal stretch.
A classic design in a rare but, above all, beautiful configuration ready to become your daily beater.
Movement and inner case back pictures are available under request, as well as dial and case macros.
