1976 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16013 golden 'Linen' dial

First released in 1945, it marked forty years of Rolex timepieces. Today, it holds a spot in even the most exclusive collections and remains one of the most popular timepieces among both men and women.

 

Loved for its sporty yet elegant design, the present-day Datejust is available in varied sizes, many case and bezel metals, and with seemingly unlimited dials.

This example offered here is a two-tone Rolex Datejust ref. 16013 which dates to 1976.

 

It features a lovely golden ‘Linen’ dial with complete tritium lume plots with a creamy patina hue. The original tritium hands show a matching patina.

 

The stainless steel case shows normal wear but remains thick, letting visible the factory finishes. The case back also shows signs of wear. The 18K yellow gold bezel shows no mayor dents or scratches.

 

The watch comes on its original Rolex Jubilee stainless steel and yellow gold bracelet with 555 end links and clasp code H that presents some stretch according to its age and normal signs of wear.

 

The original acrylic crystal is clean.

 

The watch is running great and keeping time, as it has been fully serviced in March 2024.
