The example offered for sale here is a ‘Transitional’ reference, as it changed several features like the applied logo to the painted one or the cal. 861 from the 321, but preserved others like the stepped dial.
The dial has turned to a chocolate tropical color with no discoloring or different tones or stains or spots. Lume is gorgeous too, showing a clean yellow patina. Hands are matching.
The DNN bezel insert is also in great shaped, aged top a blue hue.
Case is in good condition with no mayor scratches or dents. Crown and pushers are original. Case back is also nice.
With correct serial number, this watch was manufactured in 1970, being part of the first batches of the 69ers, batches that are common to see with tropical dials.
The Omega cal. 861 is running strong and keeping time, with all chronograph functions working as they should. Service history is unknown although it was serviced back in 2018 as shown on the vase back.
Original crystal with old Omega logo engraved on the center.
Comes with its original 20mm Omega 1171/1 stainless steel bracelet with 633 end links.
The Omega Extract of the Archives show it was sold in Spain in 1970.
This is indeed a great opportunity to own a transitional reference with a very different dial than what most people are used to see.
Macro and UV shots are available under request.
