1990 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16234 Silver 'Linen' dial

First released in 1945, it marked forty years of Rolex timepieces. Today, it holds a spot in even the most exclusive collections and remains one of the most popular timepieces among both men and women.

 

Loved for its sporty yet elegant design, the present-day Datejust is available in varied sizes, many case and bezel metals, and with seemingly unlimited dials.

 

The Rolex Datejust reference 16234 was introduced in 1988.

The example offered here is a Rolex Datejust ref. 16234 with silver ‘Linen’ dial that dates to 1990.

 

The silver ‘Linen’ dial remains well-preserved showing some normal aging. It features complete lume plots that have aged to a creamy patina hue. The original handset has a matching patina.

 

The case is presented in strong condition, remaining thick and sharp. It shows normal signs wear. The case back remains in the same condition. The 18K white gold fluted bezel also presents normal signs of use.

 

The watch comes on its Rolex Jubilee 62510 H solid links stainless steel bracelet with 555 B end links and clasp code P4 that presents stretch and wear.

 

The watch is running great and keeping time, as it has been fully serviced recently.
