The example presented here, with serial 3.1 million, is a MK IV dial, just like the recently auctioned ‘Marlon Brando’s’ 1675.
The dial is flawless (anything you might see is on the crystal) with a lovely vivid patina. The hands are matching.
The case remains thick and with original chamfers still visible, although it was probably slightly polished once in the past, long time ago. The case back remains in the same condition.
The red back Serif font bezel insert is in great shape, showing a lovely pink fade.
The original acrylic crustal has some minor scratches.
The watch is running well and keeping time, although service history is unknown.
It is suited on the original 20mm Rolex Oyster 7836 stainless steel folded links bracelet with 380 end links and clasp code 3/72 that shows some normal wear but very little stretch.
Macros of the dial and case are available under request.
